Hi! I’m Jeshonda, a licensed clinical social worker. My private practice is Atonement Counseling LLC. I have over 6 years of experience working with adult clients. I help clients who battle with depression, anxiety, stress, have low self-esteem, and been through traumas.

I help clients who battle with depression, anxiety, stress, have low self-esteem, and been through traumas.

The goal is to help clients obtain joy, heal, and become the best version of themselves. You deserve to have peace of mind and determine your purpose in life. So don’t hesitate to reach out because I look forward to working with you!

First session

We will start by introducing ourselves and getting a feel for what the issues and problems have been for client. This will help me develop a treatment plan with client that can help them achieve goals.

Strengths

I am well-trained in assisting clients with identifying their triggers and safe places. As well as, ways to manage emotions and cope with triggers in the moment.

Ideal clients

I love seeing clients become more optimistic after being depressed or anxious. Clients deserve to feel happy and not weighed down by life’s stressors or uncertainties. So I create a safe place where clients can speak freely and not be judged. I am here to support and guide clients each step of the way along their mental health journey.

Treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I discuss Christianity with clients. We explore Biblical principles and spiritual practices (ex.prayer) to follow and engage in to feel whole and at peace.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Clients will explore and identify their thought patterns that impact their emotions.

Humanistic

I uplift clients so they become self-aware of their own free will and can determine what is best suited for their life when decision making.

Psychodynamic

Client is guided by me in processing and reflecting on past traumas that impact them today (ex.during childhood)

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I teach client mind and body connecting coping tools to apply to uplift their mood and become emotionally regulated. We dive in to mindfulness techniques, such as deep breathing, meditation, sensory and guided imagery (ex. visualization) work.

WOW! Honestly, this first session was a breath of fresh air. She is full of wisdom and warmth. I'm so grateful God allowed me to come across her. I actually feel hopeful. She loves Jesus and I cannot wait to see how we implement him in more of our sessions. I'm genuinely excited!

I learned about Grow Therapy through a close friend of mine and thought I'd give it a try - and I am glad I did. Meeting Jeshonda for the first time felt so natural and personable. She is very authentic and asks questions to truly get to know your therapy needs and goals. She provided great insight and resources and we worked together to develop a plan to achieving my ultimate goals. Overall, my first therapy session went great with Jeshonda and I look forward to my next one.
