Hello, I’m Rhonda Davis, LMSW/LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Michigan. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and have over a decade of clinical experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. My clinical focus includes depression, anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, relationship issues, and LGBTQ+ affirming care. I am passionate about helping clients understand the impact of past experiences, develop healthier emotional patterns, and build stronger connections with themselves and others.

I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based interventions, and other person-centered modalities.

My therapeutic style is grounded in best-practice, evidence-based, and collaborative approaches. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based interventions, and other person-centered modalities. My goal is to meet each client where they are, empower them with practical tools, and work together toward meaningful, lasting change. Throughout my career, I have witnessed many clients transform their lives—gaining confidence, improving emotional wellbeing, strengthening relationships, and cultivating deeper self-love. It is an honor to support people on their journey toward healing and becoming the best version of themselves.

First session

During our first session, we will take time to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for our work together. I’ll start by introducing myself and inviting you to share any questions, concerns, or hopes you have for therapy. From there, we will explore the specific challenges or goals that brought you in, allowing me to better understand your experiences and needs. I will also explain my therapeutic style, the approaches I use, and what you can expect from the counseling process. Together, we will begin creating a personalized plan that outlines your goals and the strategies we’ll use in future sessions. Throughout our time together, you can expect empathy, reflective listening, and a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you are met exactly where you are. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and confident as we begin your therapeutic journey.

Strengths

With over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families, my therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion, understanding, and genuine connection. I take time to truly listen and meet clients where they are, creating a safe and encouraging space for healing and growth. Over the years, I’ve developed a variety of skills, tools, and techniques that help clients feel supported as they move toward positive change. My style is collaborative and empowering—I walk alongside clients, offering guidance, practical strategies, and gentle encouragement that helps them build confidence, discover their strengths, and create meaningful shifts in their lives. Clients often share that they feel valued, understood, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and resilience.

Ideal clients

I specialize in working with clients who are ready for change—even if they aren’t sure where to begin. My ideal clients are individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or discouraged, and who recognize that something in their life needs to shift but don’t yet have the tools or clarity to make that happen. Many of the people I support are navigating anxiety, emotional exhaustion, or a sense of hopelessness about the direction of their lives. They are motivated to improve but unsure how to take the first step. That’s where I come in. Together, we work to uncover what’s holding you back, build practical skills for change, and empower you to become the best version of yourself. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping clients rediscover confidence, balance, and hope.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've used Cognitive Behavior Therapy in my practice for the past 15 years. I have used CBT to help my clients recognize unhealthy behavioral patterns and has helped them replace unhealthy thoughts with healthier thoughts. CBT strategies has helped my clients to become more aware of their strengths which has lead to becoming better problem solvers and more confidence in their own abilities.
