Welcome! I'm a Licensed Professional Therapist serving clients throughout Northern Virginia. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. My passion for helping others led me to the counseling profession, with early experience working in a domestic violence safe house and community mental health. These experiences shaped my commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered care. For more than 10 years, I've helped individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life's many challenges. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, facing a major life transition, or simply seeking a safe place to grow, I'm here to help you build the tools, confidence, and resilience needed to create meaningful, lasting change.
During your first few sessions, you'll have the opportunity to share what brought you to counseling and what you've been experiencing. I understand that opening up can feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly at your own pace. We'll explore your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and the ways your symptoms may be affecting your daily life, work, and overall well-being. These initial sessions also serve as a comprehensive assessment, allowing us to identify patterns, strengths, and challenges that may be contributing to your concerns. Together, we'll develop a deeper understanding of your experiences, establish meaningful treatment goals, and create a personalized plan to help you build the skills and confidence needed to move toward lasting emotional wellness.
I have supported adults and adolescents as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment, and mood disorders. I understand that seeking support can feel like a difficult first step, and my goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or ready for change, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can identify your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward improved mental health, balance, and a greater sense of well-being.
I find my best work is with young adults, particularly individuals ages 18 to 30, who are navigating ongoing mental health challenges that may have begun in adolescence and continued into adulthood. It can be difficult to understand our emotions, recognize patterns, and know when to seek support. Without the right tools and guidance, these challenges can continue to impact relationships, daily functioning, and overall well-being. I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Through education, encouragement, and collaboration, we will work together to identify your strengths, build healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful changes that improve your emotional well-being and quality of life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I believe that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are deeply interconnected, and that understanding this connection is an important part of creating meaningful change. Through a cognitive behavioral approach, I help clients explore how past experiences, beliefs, and automatic thought patterns influence the way they feel and respond to life’s challenges. My clinical experience has allowed me to support individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions by helping them identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop healthier ways of coping. Together, we will examine the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build strategies that promote confidence, emotional regulation, and improved overall well-being.
