Hello, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, located in AZ. I graduated with my master's from University of Phoenix in Tucson and have been working in multiple areas of the mental health field for the past 20 years.  My focus has been with adults. Unfortunately, I don't work with adolescents. My goal is to help adults struggling with anxiety, depression and borderline personality disorder, to help them create a life worth living. In addition, I also have experience with anger management

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session begins with introductions as well as a brief history of the specific needs. From this point, we can create a plan as to how to move forward with your goals in mind.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My biggest strength that I can draw from is working in several different areas of the mental health sector. I have been working in the field for 20 years. I enjoy learning new things and using these new skills to continually help people achieve their goals of wellness.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The clients that I am best with are adult who have personality disorder and are seeking new skills. I use a combination of humor and DBT to help with change. I have also used EMDR to help overcome trauma. I do understand that not every skill is a skill that works and I do work to find a solution that fits.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as primary treatment for the past 20 year. While each person is not the same, the concept starts easy, finding out what is the thought process behind the event that is causing the repeated cycle.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a good technique to help people who have been dealing with trauma. This is a series of stimulations, either eye movements or taps on the knees, while working thought the trauma.
