Hi! I am Dr. Andrea Halbig. I am a licensed clinical social worker, and have my Doctorate in Social Work as well. I have been a social worker for over ten years. Social work is my passion, and I love being able to focus on the importance of mental health and the vital role it plays in our lives. It is such an important piece to whole body care.

First session
Our first session together will really be a chance for us to get to know each other and begin to develop our therapeutic relationship. We'll also review your history and formulate a plan on how we'd like to make the most of our sessions.
Strengths
As a therapist, my goal is to provide you with a safe space to walk through life's challenges, whatever they may be for you. I hope to be that calm place for you, where you feel supported and challenged to make strides in your therapeutic journey.
Ideal clients
I have nearly a decade of experience working with adolescents and their families, sorting through crises and traumatic experiences. I understand the importance of being a neutral party helping someone walk through challenging experiences. Clients who are open and willing to tackle the hard things can find a lot of success in therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used various forms of cognitive behavioral therapeutic techniques to help clients learn practical strategies for dealing with negative or unwanted thoughts and behaviors. Our thoughts are so powerful and can help or hurt us. CBT is an effective way at helping us process these thoughts and helping to decrease the harm they cause.
Strength-Based
We are all so unique, and have different sets of strengths that we can lean on to help us grow. I love to help clients determine what strengths they have and how they can be utilized on the therapeutic journey.
