Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I have worked with the mental health and IDD populations with over 10 years experience. I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling. I have a passion in helping others find creative ways to manage their feelings and emotions and stay well with learned coping skills.
Clients deserve to be heard and they deserve to have their needs met. With rapport building, boundary settings and expectations of therapy, this is the tone of the session.
My greatest strengths are my transparency and my active listening skills.
I enjoy working with clients who identify that there is a need for them to get better, move through life's journeys and grow mentally, physically and spiritually.

I just had a feeling this should be the person I go with and after my first session I picked right.

I like that Latona gave me hope and was direct. I appreciate Latona's lack of judgement and her positiveness that together, we can work to get to my goals.

My initial session was so informative and she would gently but directly make me aware that I was incorporating negative self-talk into my conversations. This is eye-opening to me and something that we are going to work on.
