Life and relationship transitions can be challenging, but you don't have to navigate them alone. I specialize in helping women through separation, divorce, singleness, and relationship concerns all while creating a work and life balance. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania and New Jersey providing individual telehealth therapy. Please note: I provide individual therapy only. I DO NOT offer couples or family therapy, psychological evaluations, or court-related documentation. My Office Hours are Tues-Friday 10am-2pm.
During the first session, we'll review ground rules for confidentiality and clients will have the opportunity to create a goal or goals they'd like to meet in therapy. The first session for general outpatient therapy is typically 45 minutes and subsequent sessions are typically 50 minutes. I'm open to answering questions in order to assist client's in making their best-informed decision about selecting a therapist.
Having been a therapist who has assisted individual clients with relationship transitions and loss of marriage, it's been a personal mission for me to create a neutral environment as a platform of support.
I am best positioned to serve women that are in their season of singleness, experiencing a break up of a relationship/marriage, contemplating divorce, have decided to divorce, or are already divorced. It would be most suitable if clients have experienced some form or fashion of couples counseling with a separate therapist prior to or in conjunction with individual therapy. Goals are specifically set by the client themselves.

Solution Focused Therapy is a form of therapy in which a client and therapist partnership is developed to assist in deriving solutions rather than focusing on the problem at hand. This method is the primary method used for the past 20 years.
Motivational Interviewing is a technique in which questions are asked of a client during session in order to assist a client in reaching their best possible solution. This technique has been practiced by this therapist for the past 10 years.
A combination of Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Supportive Therapy are used to best suit the client's needs.

Janine is super attentive and can often recall things discussed in previous sessions as it may relate to current sessions. I am very comfortable in every session and look forward to the next one. I feel good when our sessions end even after discussing sensitive topics.

Janine is an amazing and caring therapist, she was able to help me compartmentalize and understand my issue before diving into a plan to make improvements for myself and my relationship. I would highly recommend her, especially as someone who was brand new to receiving therapy prior to this experience.
