Andrea Baretta Maule
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience, I approach this work not simply as a profession, but as a calling. I believe healing begins with safety, trust, and authentic connection. The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change — and often, a powerful part of the treatment itself. I bring an authentic blend of knowledge, humility, sense of humor, and real-world perspective to each session. My diverse background blended with decades of experience allows me to both empathize with and empower clients to create meaningful, sustainable change.

First session
During our first session, we will discuss what’s been feeling heavy or overwhelming, and what you’re hoping might feel different in your life as a result of your therapy journey. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, relationships, strengths, stressors, and patterns. This helps me see the full picture — not just the current problem. There’s no pressure to have the “right words". Therapy is collaborative; we build it as a team and therefore will move forward with developing goals together. By the end of our first meeting, you should have: • A clearer understanding of what may be contributing to your current challenges • A sense of direction for treatment • Initial tools or perspective shifts when appropriate • A feel for whether we’re a good fit Starting therapy can feel vulnerable. I consider it an honor to sit with you, hear your story, and support you in your journey.
Strengths
What distinguishes my approach is the strong sense of purpose behind it. I see my professional commitment to clients as not just a job, but a calling to help create and sustain positive change.
Ideal clients
Research consistently shows that the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes. With that in mind, I strive to create a supportive environment for those who are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who appear capable on the outside but feel internal pressure, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion beneath the surface and want healthier ways of navigating stress.
