I am an LCSW with a private practice in NY and CT. I have earned a BA in Psychology and an MSW in Clinical Social Work, both from New York University.

My professional and personal journey led me to value the importance of balancing physical, mental, and spiritual health.

I have over 20 years of experience working with children and adults of all ages with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, strength based and mindfulness approaches.

First session

In our first session, we will start with introductions. You will have an opportunity to ask whatever questions you might have about the therapeutic process. I will also asks questions to help me gain a better understanding of who you are and what challenges you may be experiencing so that we can develop goals and action plans going forward. Most importantly, it will be an opportunity for us to begin to build a therapeutic relationship so you feel safe and supported throughout the process.

Strengths

My professional and personal journey led me to value the importance of balancing physical, mental, and spiritual health. I have a background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Yoga Therapy, and Life Coaching, and incorporate mindfulness practices to help find your own personal balance and improve your ability to manage stress.

Ideal clients

How are you like your parents in your attitude, beliefs, and behaviors? Are you repeating similar life patterns? Do these patterns support the ideal life that you want to live? I can help you identify your thought and behavior patterns and determine which ones you want to change. We’ll develop an action plan and implement the tools you need to support it. This includes things like identifying fears, using positive self-talk, and learning coping skills such as meditation and mindfulness practices. I work with people who deal with challenges like depression, anxiety, school and work-related stress, and generational trauma.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is based on the idea that we often repeat thought and behavior patterns. I can help you identify your thought and behavior patterns and determine which ones you want to change. We’ll develop an action plan and implement the tools you need to support it.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness supports the practice of being in the present moment. By learning to use mindfulness skills such as breathwork and guided visualization, you can reduce anxiety and improve your ability to manage stress.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

When you are able to control the controllable you gain a sense of hope and empowerment. With an open dial that supports deep exploration, I can help you uncover solutions in areas of your life that you may be feeling stuck.

Strength-Based

My practice philosophy is that with the right tools and support, every individual can be empowered to change his or her life for the better. I will help you identify your skills and strengths and find ways to increase your ability to intentionally use them to get the outcomes that you desire.

Opened my eyes to a problem that I couldn’t identify myself , listened to key things I said and gave me something great to think about . Thank you!

Everything about the way Ms. Keisha presents herself to encourage intuitive thinking and authentic healing is intentional and refreshing. I appreciate the open space and genuine connection, although the platform is through zoom. It was her thorough profile and smile that led me to reach out - and it's her skill and laughter that keeps me coming back! Enjoying the reflective questions she asks - really has helped with my healing transformation. See her! She's awesome! <3

I just had my first meet with her and I feel comfortable to express my feelings. I don't feel like I am being judged or misunderstood. Looking forward to my next meet!
