Autumn Walker
My name is Autumn Walker and I am an LPC. I have been providing mental health therapy services since 2013. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I focus on a variety of symptoms and issues, including inattentiveness, hyperactivity, anxiety, depression, life changes, self esteem concerns, and much more. Therapy is focused on your personal needs and I will work collaboratively to assist you with your mental health concerns.
First session
During our first session, you will be asked to sign the appropriate paperwork and I will be asking questions to gain a better understanding of your needs for participating in therapy. We will discuss your goals for therapy and then have a plan for sessions moving forward.
Strengths
I recognize the need to meet individuals where they are at. I have a direct, yet interactive approach to working with individuals! It is my strong belief that if you want to make a change, I can guide you to being as successful as you choose to be. Taking this next step to embark on your therapy journey with me, may at times be challenging; but overall rewarding in the end. I would love to help you take the next steps to be your truest/healthiest self.
Treatment methods
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a therapeutic approach that helps people process difficult emotions, stressful experiences, and trauma by using the brain's natural ability to heal. Many people describe brainspotting as a way to help them "release emotional pain" that they have carried for years, gain insight, and feel calmer and more grounded.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a practical, goal-oriented form of therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another.
Interpersonal
Interpersonal Therapy is a treatment approach that focuses on the connection between your relationships and your emotional well-being. Our relationships with family, partners, friends, coworker, and others can have a significant impact on how we feel, and emotional challenges can also affect the way we relate to others.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution -Focused Brief Therapy is a collaborative, strengths-based approach that focused on identifying solutions rather than dwelling on problems. This type of treatment emphasizes your existing strengths, resources, and past successes to help create meaningful change.
