Victoria Serrano
My name is Victoria Serrano. I’ve worked in the mental health and substance abuse fields for over 25 years. Connection and community are essential in building and maintaining healthy lives. No one is meant to go it alone. Not everyone has the support they need. I work to support, and empower clients toward their goals.
I have years of successful experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, relationship dynamics, substance abuse issues, life stress, LGBTQIA concerns, women's issues, and religious trauma recovery.

First session
In our first session, we will do some information and history gathering, talk about the challenges you are facing and how we might move forward in resolving them. I will share with you, the ideas and techniques I believe we can start with to help you, as well as answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Strengths
My strengths as a provider include being nonjudgmental, safe, and compassionate. I also am a good motivator and able to provide education on topics as needed.
Ideal clients
I work best with adults who are ready to look at possible patterns that may be preventing them from living life to the fullest. Clients open to trying new techniques in finding peace.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is very beneficial in assisting clients to learn how thought patterns drive behaviors, how to recognize cognitive distortions, and develop healthier habits toward a more fulfilling life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Learning to focus on present moments, effectively managing distress, leads to reduction of anxiety and stress.
Feminist
Supporting and empowering women to cope and excel in today’s challenging climate.
Motivational Interviewing
It is essential for us all to experience opportunities that empower us, strengthening our confidence to adapt and resolve conflict.
Gender-affirming therapy
Supporting the LGBTQ community is important to me. This includes support toward gender affirmation.
