Hello, I’m Laura. I’m committed to helping you create a healthier, more fulfilling life. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. Clients often describe me as calm and serene, and I strive to bring that sense of peace and safety into our work together. I take a collaborative, personalized approach to therapy, using cognitive and motivational strategies tailored to your unique needs and goals. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, relationship concerns, stress, or a major life transition, I’ll meet you where you are and work alongside you to develop practical tools for meaningful change.

Whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, addiction, or any other concern, my approach is designed to empower you and foster positive change.

I have a particular passion for working with older adults, while also welcoming clients from all walks of life. I have experience supporting individuals with a wide range of concerns, including dementia, grief and bereavement, medical and physical health issues, family and intimate relationships, ADHD, bipolar disorder, LGBTQIA+ concerns, OCD, PTSD, trauma, perinatal concerns, sleep disorders, and traumatic brain injury. I hold a Master of Arts degree and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Addiction Specialist. Most importantly, I believe therapy is a partnership. My role is to listen without judgment, offer support and guidance, and help you recognize your strengths as you move toward the life you want. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to schedule an appointment or reach out through the client portal. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey.

First session

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Strengths

Over the years, I’ve learned that meaningful change begins with understanding not only what is difficult, but also what is already working. I’ll help you identify the root causes of your challenges while recognizing the strengths, skills, and experiences you already have. From there, we’ll create a personalized plan that builds on those strengths and gives you practical tools to move forward. My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling more confident, capable, and equipped to handle life’s challenges.

Ideal clients

I love working with both young and older adult clients that need help with coping with whatever life is throwing at them. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their lives. We see improvement as clients begin to understand the role of thoughts and feelings and how this can improve coping.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT and other cognitive therapies to help clients understand the important role of thoughts and feelings in their lives.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I used person-centered therapy to provide empathy using reflective listening skills.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I've received extensive training and use this in my practice regularly.

Motivational Interviewing

I have extensive training and practice in this method of treatment.

Although I’m new to Laura, she was going to listen to all my situations and because she’s also local she knows the area that I’m originally from and understands my background. I’m excited to grow within my therapy and to find who I am and I think she will help me Along the way
