I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in child, adolescent, and young adult mental health. With extensive training in therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), I help clients navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My work centers on building healthy, supportive relationships and helping clients strengthen emotional security, self-understanding, and resilience. I recognize the important role that connection and attachment can play in emotional and social development, and I bring that perspective into my sessions with individuals and families. I also take a holistic approach to challenges related to school, work, and learning, offering support to both teens and young adults as they manage academic stress, identity development, and everyday responsibilities. I provide practical tools and compassionate guidance to support both emotional and functional well-being.

Kelly understands the vital role that secure attachment plays in a child's emotional and social development, and she works diligently to cultivate this in her sessions.

For adults, I offer Motivational Therapy, using a personalized approach designed to strengthen intrinsic motivation and support positive behavioral change. My friendly and professional demeanor helps clients feel at ease as they work toward greater well-being.

First session

In our initial therapy session, clients can expect a warm, structured, yet flexible approach that sets the stage for a positive therapeutic journey. We aim to foster a safe environment where you'll feel comfortable and supported. Here's what you can typically expect: Welcoming Atmosphere: You'll be greeted in a friendly manner, helping you feel at ease right from the start. Building Trust: Our first priority is to establish a trusting relationship, which is the foundation of effective therapy. Sharing Your Concerns: You'll have the opportunity to express your primary reasons for seeking therapy in a non-judgmental space. Reviewing Information: We’ll go over your intake information and discuss your personal history and current life situations. Creating Goals: Together, we’ll set meaningful goals and outline what you can expect in our future sessions. Addressing Questions: You’ll have ample time to ask any questions about the therapy process, including my qualifications and the methods we may use. I look forward to collaborating with you on this journey toward understanding and growth!

Strengths

I specialize in providing evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and parents experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, behavioral concerns, and school-related stress. My clinical work integrates CBT, TF-CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, and play therapy to support emotional healing, improve coping skills, and strengthen relationships. I am also becoming certified in PCIT, parent child interaction therapy. Using evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), mindfulness, and play therapy, I create a nurturing environment that fosters healing and growth. Clients often experience transformative results, including enhanced emotional regulation, improved mood, reduced anxiety, and strengthened coping skills. As clients engage more deeply in the therapeutic process, they cultivate a greater sense of self-efficacy, achieve symptom reduction, and build healthier relationships. This holistic approach ensures alignment with individual goals, leading to more rewarding therapeutic outcomes and a more fulfilling life. I am dedicated to being by your side, guiding you through your journey toward well-being and resilience.

Ideal clients

I am dedicated to supporting parents, children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate a variety of challenges related to their mental health and emotional well-being. My ideal clients often come to me with concerns such as anxiety and depression, trauma and behavioral issues, learning and developmental challenges, life transitions, and a desire for self-exploration and growth. My approach is built on empathy, collaboration, and empowerment. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel genuinely heard and validated. Together, we will explore your unique experiences, develop practical strategies, and establish clear, achievable goals that align with your values and aspirations. I’m here to support you on your journey, and I look forward to working together to foster healing and growth.
