(she/her)
Hi, I’m Lesley. I am a licensed therapist providing therapy to adults in Pennsylvania and Delaware. I often see people struggling with what I call “reality gaps”, which is the space between the life you have and the life you want. The wider that gap feels, the more distress tends to grow. I have over a decade of experience working with adults and adolescents facing chronic depression, anxiety, attachment concerns, and relational conflict.
I strive to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and non-judgmental. Our first session is a chance to get oriented. We can talk about what brought you in and what you would like help with. I work from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) perspective, which involves exploring the mind’s chatter and identifying unhelpful patterns. "ACT" is actually spoken as a single word! It is a scientifically based psychotherapeutic modality that helps us explore how the human mind works.
I often hear that I am thoughtful, detail-oriented, and kind.
In ACT, we recognize that we have limited control over our internal experiences. Our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations often arise without our choosing. Rather than trying to eliminate or avoid difficult feelings, we will focus on building flexibility in how we respond to them. I often work with individuals who feel stuck in unhelpful patterns or might be going through a difficult life transition. If this approach resonates with you, please reach out!

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
When we are caught in a struggle with psychological problems, we tend to put life on hold, believing that our pain needs to lessen before we can really begin to live again. My role is to meet individuals where they are and guide them toward bridging reality gaps; the gap between the life they have and the life they want.
