I have deep expertise in addressing depression, anxiety, grief, and the nuanced emotional experiences of midlife, aging, and young adulthoodMy therapeutic approach is compassionate and holistic, drawing from extensive clinical experience to support individuals facing diverse challenges—from caregiver stress and family dynamics to personal transformations like divorce, loss, and life purpose exploration. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, heal from past experiences, and develop meaningful strategies for personal growth. I am particularly attuned to the emotional complexities of aging, family relationships, and navigating significant life changes. My goal is to help clients build resilience, find inner peace, and create more fulfilling life narratives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is a very important one. During that session we'll talk about the nature of what brought you to therapy. I'll begin to make an assessment of your situation and whether I feel that I can be helpful. If I don't feel that I can help you, I'll tell you and help you find a different therapist who might be better for you. What is very important is that you can begin to assess me! In other words do you feel as though I would be a good therapist for you? You can decide if I seem to understand you, care about you as a person. We will, begin forming a helping relationship. Research has proven that the relationship between client and therapist is the single most important factor in whether therapy is effective. After all, this is your therapy and if, for any reason you feel I'm not the one for you, please feel free to tell me. You will not hurt my feelings and I will do what I can to help you find a different therapist with whom there is a better fit. My job is to make you comfortable, and help you to feel as though you can trust me as you share personal information.
