New to Grow
Hello, I’m Kelly Hooper, and I’m glad you’re here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in Georgia. From an early age, I felt called to help others, and that calling led me into the mental health field. My work is grounded in compassion, empathy, and a desire to support meaningful and lasting change in each client’s life.
In your first session, you can simply be yourself. We’ll focus on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. I’ll provide you with a safe space to share your story, thoughts, and feelings as I listen to understand your goals and learn about the challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll begin exploring what you hope to achieve in therapy and discuss ways we can work together to help you feel heard, supported, understood, and empowered from the very beginning.
My calling to serve and support others has shaped my work as a therapist. Over the years, I’ve developed deep empathy, lived insight, and clinical expertise that guide my approach. My compassionate, collaborative style helps clients feel truly heard and supported while exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I use evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and gain clarity in navigating life’s challenges. I am skilled at helping clients recognize their own strengths, identify practical solutions, and take steps toward meaningful change. My experience working with adults facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relational challenges allows me to meet clients where they are, provide guidance that is both empathetic and practical, and support them in developing resilience, confidence, and a greater sense of balance in their lives.
My ideal clients are adults (18+) who are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their emotional, relational, and personal lives. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, or feeling stuck during major life transitions such as career changes, identity shifts, or adjustments in family dynamics. I am especially well positioned to support clients who are motivated to grow, even if they feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or emotionally exhausted. Client's who are also seeking clarity, emotional balance, and healthier coping strategies, as well as support in improving communication, boundaries, and self-esteem. I further work well with individuals who are exploring purpose and direction in life and want to align their choices with their values, goals, and sense of meaning. Some clients may also be navigating spiritual concerns, and I offer space for Christian faith to be integrated into the healing process when desired. Overall, I best serve clients who are open to reflection, willing to engage in the therapeutic process, and ready to move toward greater healing, stability, and personal growth.
