I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over two decades of experience helping individuals work through anxiety, depression, stress, and life challenges.

My approach is warm, supportive, and practical, with a focus on helping clients feel understood while learning tools that can create meaningful change in their daily lives. I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and mind-body techniques to support emotional healing, self-awareness, and personal growth in a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment.

First session

During the first session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are currently facing, and the goals you would like to work toward. I will also ask questions to better understand your background, stressors, coping patterns, and emotional well-being so we can begin creating a plan that fits your needs. My goal is to provide a supportive, comfortable, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and emotionally safe. Clients can also expect to leave with practical tools, insights, or strategies they can begin using in their daily lives.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to help clients feel comfortable, understood, and emotionally safe while also helping them make meaningful progress. I combine warmth, empathy, and active listening with practical, goal-oriented strategies that clients can apply in their everyday lives. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and mind-body techniques to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and stress responses. Many clients appreciate that I provide both emotional support and practical tools that help them manage anxiety, improve coping skills, increase self-awareness, and create healthier patterns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping clients experience lasting change and emotional balance.

Ideal clients

I work well with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, overthinking, life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, burnout, and difficulty coping with everyday pressures. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware people who want more peace, balance, confidence, and emotional stability in their lives. I especially enjoy working with clients who are open to self-reflection, learning practical coping skills, and making meaningful changes that improve their overall well-being. My approach is supportive, compassionate, and goal-oriented, while also helping clients feel heard, understood, and emotionally safe. In addition to CBT, I incorporate mindfulness and mind-body techniques to help clients calm the nervous system, improve emotional regulation, and reduce stress. I have been sharing and teaching these approaches for over two decades, long before meditation and mindfulness became widely accepted in mainstream mental health care.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors affect one another. Together, we work to identify unhealthy thinking patterns, reduce emotional distress, and develop healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring what they are experiencing while learning practical tools they can begin using in their everyday lives. I often integrate mindfulness and mind-body approaches alongside CBT to support healing, self-awareness, and lasting change.
