I enjoy working with people of all ages and supporting their journey of acceptance, increasing resilience, and improving the quality of their life. I love getting to know the people that I work with, and with a collaborative and nonjudgmental mindset, together we will identify goals and values, and the barriers that prevent them from getting there. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been providing therapeutic services to children and adults since 2015.

If you are ready to make a change, let’s get started today. I look forward to meeting you and working with you on your journey.

First session

During our first session we will spend time getting to know you and what you hope to get out of therapy so that together we can develop a plan that is catered to what your specific needs are.

Strengths

My personal and professional experience as well as knowledge that I have gained has given me the ability to actively listen, empathically respond, and provide tools that are beneficial to the people I work with and their specific needs.

Ideal clients

I enjoy working with all ages that are having difficulty navigating through the stressful thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences that keep them stuck.

Treatment methods

Mind-body approach

I have been using Mind Body Bridging for the last two years. It is an evidenced based therapeutic intervention that is aimed at empowering individuals with knowledge and tools to cultivate self-awareness, harness the mind-body connection, and achieve a balanced and purposeful life by guiding individuals toward a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world. The process is a collaborative approach that inspires growth, resilience, and harmony in the journey of self-discovery (I-System Institute).

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT for years to help client's identify thoughts and behaviors that are not serving them well. By recognizing negative thinking patterns and behaviors client's can find ways to change their emotions by changing their thoughts and/or their behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT teaches specific skills in the areas of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relationship skills.

Cathy has been wonderful! I am new to therapy and she's been so good at listening and understanding what I'm going through and always has great advice or comforting words. When I started I was nervous because I had never done anything like this before but she made everything so comfortable that talking with her is easy. I highly recommend her!

She was easy to talk to, it was a comfortable session. She didn't talk about her issues, which I have had happen in the past with other providers. We stuck to the subject and got down to business which I appreciated. I liked her and felt like progress was made for me.
