(she/her)
I’m passionate about a holistic focus to helping others on their journey to overall wellness. Helping others increase their self-awareness through talk therapy is key, and I believe once an individual recognizes their personal strengths & capabilities the sky is the limit. I integrate CBT with Motivational Interviewing on my mission to help people recognize what faulty beliefs, and unresolved past experiences may correlate with present day maladaptive choices & behaviors. Recognizing how these negative beliefs & behaviors may be the barriers to living one’s best life is just the beginning of motivation for change.
Clients can expect the initial session to be the beginning of building a rapport since the questions asked will be the foundation for us to determine their specific needs and personal goals.
My greatest strength as a clinician is that I believe my clients can reach their full potential and having worked with the overall population for the past 17 years, I've developed a supportive method for that helps the client normalize their challenges, and in turn this prompts me to lay the groundwork for upcoming sessions to be a structured to your individual goals.
I enjoy working with adult clients going through life adjustment issues. My clients are motivated to improve their circumstances but may not recognize what copings skills & strategies are needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious when facing milestones, or phase of life challenges, and I am instrumental in helping them recognize their own strengths & capabilities as the catalyst for change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Helping clients explore their belief system & thought process through CBT is the key to identifying the correlation between negative beliefs that prompt negative coping skills & faulty behaviors. Self-awareness results in breaking down the barriers to living one’s best life and embracing the beginning of motivation for change.
Motivational Interviewing
I’m passionate about a holistic focus to helping others on their journey to overall wellness. I believe once an individual recognizes their personal strengths & capabilities the sky is the limit. I integrate CBT with Motivational Interviewing on my mission to help people recognize ways in which thought distortions & unresolved past experiences often correlate with present day maladaptive choices & behaviors. Helping my clients build a foundation from their identified strengths leads to them feeling empowered which results in a stronger sense of autonomy & self-actualization.
Positive Psychology
Part of my therapeutic process is to help my clients recognize patterns of negative beliefs & catastrophic thoughts by teaching them to positively reframe negative dialogue since it no longer serves them.

Michelle has great insight on how to stay in the solution. She provides practical suggestions. I am someone who can get ahead of myself and start ruminating on all the worst case scenarios. Michelle grounds me & reminds me to reflect on all the best case scenarios too! She empowers me to believe in myself, showcase and be grateful for my amazing parts. I am continually impacted by her contagious conviction that I can & will develop behaviors & perspectives better suited to benefit my system.
