Hello Everyone! My name is Lyndal Bedford and I am a licensed clinical social worker. My role is to come alongside you as you discover the peace, hope, and joy of life that you were always meant to have. I work to provide a safe space to process thoughts and emotions that can be overwhelming.

My role is to come alongside you as you discover the peace, hope, and joy of life that you were always meant to have.

If you feel stuck and do not know how to move forward, come talk with me!

First session

In our first session together, we will begin with brief introductions and going over the goals of therapy. We will discuss confidentiality and what the purpose of therapy is. Afterwards, this will be the time to share your situation to the extent that you feel comfortable. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Strengths

Working with clients for the past 5 years, I have been able to tailor therapy that safely allows the clients to process their story one chapter at a time. Through the process, I am able to ask questions from multiple perspectives that are respectful and meaningful.

Ideal clients

I provide faith-integrated, trauma-informed therapy and wellness support to help individuals grow mentally, physically, spiritually, and reconnect with healthy community. My primary focus areas include: Faith-Integrated Trauma Recovery, Community Development Support, and Integrated Somatic Wellness . The clients that I am best positioned to work with are individuals/families healing from church hurt/abuse, individuals looking for emotionally safe communities, adults navigating and experiencing loneliness/life transitions, faith-based organizations, and wellness spaces.

Treatment methods

Christian Counseling

With Christian Counseling, I integrate biblical principles with the psychology of therapy. I incorporate scripture into the healing process.

Faith based therapy

In practice, I will encourage the use of a client's faith to help guide them to a better understanding of themselves. The focus is on creating healthier self-esteem and finding/realizing purpose

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use worksheets and assignments for clients to participate in to show how the way they think can affect the way they feel and behave.

Narrative

Will help the client to form a story about their lives and use deep and interpersonal reflections.

EMDR

I am EMDR-Trained. I provide Trauma therapy to clients with consistent or life-threatening traumatic experiences.

I was skeptical of therapy as a whole. Lyndal has dramatically helped me through my difficulties.

I think that the thing that makes Lyndal so great is his approach. He lets you talk through everything and raises some questions every now and again to help you get some insight. I feel like I have grown a lot since starting therapy with him.
