I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 2 decades experience. I have experience working in schools, hospitals, and in private practice. I enjoy working with adults, young adult, and teens who are motivated to learn and grow and be their best version of themself. I am open minded and accepting of all people. My approach is both supportive and firm.

First session

During our first session we will need to cover policy and procedural items. We will then dive into a full assessment/history questionnaire to learn about your background/history as well your current needs. Most importantly we will determine if we are a good fit to meet your goals.

Strengths

My experiences and values make me very open minded and supportive of people of all identities and backgrounds. I don't care who you are or what you believe, I just want to help you be your best version of you. My approach is supportive but also firm. I will ask questions to learn. I will supportively challenge when words/actions/beliefs seem out of alignment. This comes from a place of growth, not judgement.

Ideal clients

I enjoy working with teens, young adults and adults. My specialty areas are supporting clients with anxiety, depression, relationships challenges, life transitions, stress, and neurodiversity. I employ a variety of evidence-based practices to empower clients, helping them access coping strategies, improve relationships, and problem solve; with a focus on resilience and emotional well-being. I view clients as having character qualities, past successes, and resilience that provide fertile ground for change. I view my role as clinician as guiding the process towards change while providing hope during the hard times.

It can be hard feeling like you found someone who knows what they are doing, and who comprehends, and hears what you tell them. But I have found those qualities in Dana and I sincerely think that she is incredible in every sense of the word and a great fit for me personally. She is kind, knowledgeable, warm, and authentic. I feel like she is definitely worth giving a shot if you are considering her one hour sometimes just feel so short.
