I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Erica Richley-Duda, and I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio. For the past 22 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside children, adolescents, and adults, helping them navigate challenges, understand themselves more deeply, and create meaningful change in their lives. My experience has allowed me to work with individuals across many different stages of life, and I truly value the unique perspective that each stage brings. I have extensive knowledge and experience supporting children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, social, and school-related challenges, as well as helping parents better understand and support their children. I also work with adults who may be navigating relationships, anxiety, trauma, self-discovery, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. Additionally, I have experience working with couples and relationship concerns, helping partners better understand one another and strengthen their connection. I believe that every person brings a unique story, and that effective counseling begins with truly listening to that story. My goal is to create a space where clients of all ages feel safe, understood, encouraged, and empowered to take their next steps. Outside of counseling, I love spending time outdoors and taking walks with my dog, Noble! I’m also the author of two books, Unmasking ADHD: Navigating the Neurodivergent Mind and Unlocking Trauma: Creating Trauma-Informed Environments and Transforming School Discipline.
I’m excited to hear your story during our first session! From there, we can identify what you’d like to address during our time together, what you’d like to get out of counseling, and next steps.
When we’re struggling, it can be difficult to see beyond what we’re experiencing in the moment. Sometimes we become so overwhelmed by the weight of everything that we lose sight of hope. One of my strengths as a therapist is my ability to offer encouragement, hope, and perspective while creating a space where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted. I believe you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin therapy. You simply need a place where you can start. My approach is compassionate, encouraging, and collaborative. I want to meet you where you are, help you understand what you’re experiencing, and work alongside you to identify practical steps toward meaningful change. My hope is that, together, we can uncover the strengths that are already within you and help you move toward a life that feels more authentic, connected, and fulfilling.
I enjoy working with clients of all ages who are ready to have someone come alongside them to address barriers that are preventing them from being the best version of themselves.

Sometimes, we can find ourselves caught in thought patterns that are difficult to break, even when we know those thoughts may not be helping us. The way we think can have a powerful impact on how we feel, how we respond, and how we move through the world. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps us slow down and explore the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we can begin to recognize patterns, understand where they come from, challenge thoughts that may be keeping you stuck, and develop healthier and more helpful ways of responding. I’ve been incorporating CBT into my work for more than 20 years, and one of the most rewarding parts of my work is watching clients begin to understand themselves in new ways. There is something incredibly empowering about realizing, “I have more control over how I respond than I thought I did.” My goal isn’t to tell you to “think positive.” Instead, I want to help you develop realistic, compassionate, and empowering ways of thinking that support you in navigating life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

As an AUDHD person my sincerity filter is pretty on point. Erica is warm, sincere and has a great sense of humor. She's really good at narrowing in on things that might not be obvious that might be a concern. I also love that she is so very encouraging and points out positive things I mention that I may not realize are positive. I feel lucky to have found her! I've had several therapists over 20+ years in 3 states. She's definitely at the top of my list.

I have been seeing Erica for awhile and when I say I have never connected with someone so well I mean it. She is so warm and comforting and she really makes my entire day and I look forward to every appointment! I feel so seen and heard and valued as a person and appreciate her so much. I highly recommend her if you are looking for someone who can truly understand you as a person and is accepting! She’s by far my favorite therapist ever!
