Natalie M. Knight
We do not need to struggle any longer against our old conditioned patterns... we must only recognize them for what they are. Hello! My name Is Natalie Knight and I am an LCSW who is passionate about utilizing the strength of the therapeutic alliance as a support to enter into an exploration of what is beckoning for our attention at any given moment. I believe once we learn how to meet our emotions that we can clear ourselves of old past traumas or new ones.
I work with modalities such as mindfulness based practices, Cognitive Behavioral Techniques, and EMDR to assist others in dealing with their traumas and lifelong struggles.
I have been doing this work for the past eight years professionally. I use a person-centered approach in my counseling practice which emphasizes that the client is the best authority for his/her own life and that the answers to his/her questions are inside of them. I serve as a mirror to reflect to the client the inherent wisdom that we uncover during our therapy sessions. I also rely strongly on EMDR as a modality to help client with the root of their trauma. This process has been quite effective for me in my search for understanding and I hope to be able to share it with others who feel called to this type of work with me as well.
First session
I believe in the strength of the therapeutic alliance and the importance of creating a safe, compassionate, and grounded space for meaningful exploration and healing. Together, we gently explore what is most ready to be seen, understood, and healed at this point in your life. In our first few sessions we will begin to build this alliance. Through EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches, we work to identify and process experiences, beliefs, and patterns shaped by past conditioning that may continue to create confusion, emotional distress, or a sense of disconnection from yourself. Rather than simply addressing symptoms, our work invites a deeper understanding of what your experiences may be asking you to recognize, release, or transform. I view healing as both a psychological and deeply personal journey—one that can create space for greater awareness, self-compassion, and connection to your authentic self. As old beliefs and unresolved experiences are processed, there is an opportunity to move beyond patterns that no longer serve you and reconnect with the inner wisdom, clarity, and sense of wholeness that may have become obscured along the way. My intention is to walk alongside you in this process, honoring your individual path while supporting you in creating greater emotional freedom, authenticity, and alignment in the way you experience yourself and your life.
Strengths
My biggest stregnths in my role as a therapist is helping the client to feel safe and begin to have confidence in being able to navigate difficult emotions by helping to provide a new framework of understanding of what they are experiencing. Once my clients are able to understand themselves within this framework they have noted that they begin to feel a relief in their ability to manage their lives better.
Ideal clients
Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Trauma, general stress. I enjoy working with clients who are excited to engage in their own healing process
