Dwayne Williams
I practice by a simple model: words are only soothing to the ear but my acts of tenderness and kindness act as a beacon to guide you through your turbulent times. This simple phrase means I can offer words of encouragement but it is my actions that make a difference. Please recognize that life can one better or bitter.

We can work to build to make life better.
First session
I want the client to get a feel for me and my style of therapy. My style is conversational. I want to client to feel like they are talking to a person and not a degree. Many client report feeling a lack of connection with the therapist. I want my clients to get to me.
Strengths
Many of my clients call me Uncle Wayne or Unc for short. They come to see me as close friend or relative. My approach is not giving advice but rather guided discovery. I can give advice but that would be based on my own life experience. I would rather assist the client in discovery their own way. I may drop a bread crumb along the way but it is mostly the client's own vision. It should be noted that I am not putting the client out by themselves but I walk with them while gently guiding them along the way.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is one who wants change. Life is about intentionality. A marginal athlete becomes good by being intentional. Dreams become realities by being intentional. Recognizing you need help and being intentional in your approach is a key element in making and maintaining change. First we assess the needs, develop the plan and is intentional in the execution of the plan.
