I believe meaningful change happens through authentic connection and genuine understanding of your unique story. With years of clinical experience, I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can feel truly seen and supported.

Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with many years of experience in the mental health field.

I work with individuals across the lifespan—young adults, adults, and elders—navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, sleep issues, work stress, life transitions, and much more. My approach is flexible and tailored to you, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based stress reduction, strength-based work, and humanistic practices. Whether you're working through a specific challenge or seeking to move beyond survival into genuine growth and fulfillment, I'm here to help you find your way.

First session

My goal is to help you feel empowered and ready to make changes. Together, we’ll explore strategies to manage stress, set boundaries, and build resilience — so you can continue to care for others without losing yourself in the process.

Strengths

Life’s too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Let me help you develop ways to increase your peace and contentment through my insightful and meaningful support.

Ideal clients

I am best positioned to serve someone who is navigating self-doubt, yet open to growth and change. This individual may be someone who recognizes a need for healthier, more effective coping strategies and is willing to explore new ways of thinking, feeling and responding to challenges. While they may feel stuck or overwhelmed at times, they bring a desire to build resilience, gain clarity and move forward with greater confidence and stability.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I will guide you in recognizing how unhelpful or negative thought patterns are negatively affecting your life and relationships. These patterns can make us feel stuck and lead to struggles with anxiety and depression. Using CBT, along with my guidance, will enable you to gain a better understanding of your emotions, behaviors and motivations.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am a DBT certified therapist. DBT focuses on developing skills to manage emotions and improve interpersonal relationships. DBT is helpful because it combines emotional acceptance and change strategies in a practical, structured way.

The first session went well and I'm looking forward to working together wit Shannon to help with what I've been going through lately. It feels like a great fit. It is very easy to talk to her. It was very easy to schedule an appointment I found her information online. The easy booking process was helpful.
