Feeling lost in the chaos of life or the tough stuff most therapists won’t touch? Tired of therapy feeling like a cliché? Not here. And if you’ve made it here, you’re probably not looking for surface-level therapy and you’re in the right place! Hi, My name is John’Neiska "JoJo" Williams and I am a licensed professional counselor in the states TX, GA LA, CO, SC, and ID and I can assure you, you’ve come to the right place. I specialize in working with high-functioning adult women who are managing careers, parenting, relationships, and responsibilities on the outside, but feel overwhelmed, emotionally stretched, or stuck on the inside. Many of my clients struggle with emotional intensity, black-and-white thinking, or feeling pulled between extremes while trying to make sense of themselves and their experiences.

Hi, My name is John’Neiska "JoJo" Williams and I am a licensed professional counselor in the states TX, GA LA, CO and I can assure you, you’ve come to the right place.

I believe healing happens when the mind and body are in the same conversation. Some moments require us to stay present, while others require us to explore how past experiences are still showing up in your life today. I work best with individuals experiencing high-functioning anxiety or ADHD, and Borderline personality disorder. I am also trained and experienced in working with other personality and dissociative disorders. Therapy isn’t just venting and I’m not here for small talk. I have a laid-back vibe, but make no mistake I’m here to challenge, teach, and help you grow with real change. No clichés, no endless “How does that make you feel?” That’s why I incorporate behavioral and specialized approaches, including Ketamine Assisted psychotherapy, creative expressive play, and counterintuitive skills, all tailored to fit your needs. So if you’re tired of basic coping, ready to understand your patterns, and open to doing deeper, active work, this space was created for you. Let me help you find the power of the grey area.

First session

In our first session, we will start with brief introductions. I like to get your needs, wants, goals, and expectations of therapy. I also like to talk about your past experiences with therapy and what made you consider therapy as the best option for you. I like to also let clients know therapy with me, you will work collaboratively with me and remain autonomous. I will explain my theoretical approaches to therapy just to make sure you are comfortable with some of the tasks such as interventions, psychoeducation, and homework I may ask of you.

Strengths

I try to be competent in all areas of counseling. However, my biggest strengths and specialties include my ability to challenge and use confrontation in a positively reinforcing and therapeutic way. This creates awareness in a way that allows an individual to change emotions with their actions and not control emotions with their actions. I am not accepting teens/adolescents, high school students, or couples currently.

Ideal clients

I specialize in helping people navigate intense emotions, identity shifts, and changes in mood. Most of my work centers on supporting individuals living with borderline personality disorder (BPD), dissociative identity disorder (DID), and bipolar disorder, using approaches that are compassionate, structured, and focused on real change.

Treatment methods

Gestalt

I use Gestalt in a way to help focus on a person's present life rather than delving into their past experiences. This form of therapy stresses the importance of understanding the context of a person’s life when considering the challenges they face. It also involves taking responsibility and moving forward rather than placing blame.

Her approach feels more pragmatic and offers solutions and plans no one has ever tried or mentioned. I feel like she understands my concerns and is giving me useful and helpful advice. I'm excited to work with her.
