Christine Adkins
Hello! Do you ever feel like "you are losing your mind" or "going crazy"? Do you feel like you want to share your feelings with someone but are scared or ashamed, or feeling like you should be able to "fix" your problems?
I have been a psychotherapist for over 30 years and love to help people become the healthiest and happiest person that they can be.
Well, I think most people feel this way from time to time and it helps to have an objective, non-judgemental person to talk with. I am that person. I have been a psychotherapist for over 30 years and love to help people become the healthiest and happiest person that they can be. And, I would love to help you explore your issues in a safe and comfortable manner. Whatever issues you have, be it anxiety, depression, PTSD, abuse, addiction, I am here to help you overcome what is keeping you from being the person that you want to be.
First session
The first session is mostly a get-to-know-you visit. I will asking you to share information about yourself that you feel comfortable sharing. We will discuss why you decided to come to therapy, and set some goals that you would like to work on and how we can work to achieve those goals.
Strengths
I have been a therapist for many years and worked with clients with all sorts of issues. I particularly enjoy working with senior citizens and helping them be comfortable with therapy. I have a lot of experience with addiction, abuse and PTSD. I am especially knowledgeable in the area of end-of-life issues and with grief and bereavement. I am comfortable with all sexes, creeds and cultures.
Ideal clients
Senior citizens, veterans, women, clients suffering from depression and/or anxiety. Clients with addiction issues. Clients who are having grief issues.
