Angela Miller
I’m Angela Miller, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience helping Millennials navigate life’s emotional challenges. I specialize in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness to support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues.
My greatest strengths lie in combining evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
I’m passionate about creating a warm, judgment-free space where you can feel heard and empowered to make positive changes in your life.
First session
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, your expectations, and what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. Together, we'll create a personalized plan that fits your needs and helps you move toward meaningful, lasting change. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll work together every step of the way.
Strengths
I believe therapy should feel collaborative, practical, and tailored to you not one-size-fits-all. I take time to understand your unique experiences, strengths, and goals while creating a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel heard and respected. Together, we'll identify what has worked in the past, explore new strategies, and build skills that support lasting change. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop confidence, and create meaningful progress that extends beyond our sessions.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve adolescents, young adults, and adults who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, grief, and low self-esteem. Many of my clients are individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck, yet are motivated to better understand themselves and improve their overall well-being. I work well with clients who are open to self-exploration and ready to develop healthier coping skills, even if they are unsure where to begin. My ideal client may be someone who has been carrying emotional burdens for a long time, struggles with overthinking or worry, or is adjusting to changes in relationships, health, or life circumstances. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where individuals can process their experiences, build emotional resilience, and work toward greater clarity, confidence, and stability. At this time, I provide individual therapy only and do not offer couples counseling.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With over 14 years of experience in the mental health field, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, manage overwhelming emotions, and build healthier coping strategies. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or life transitions, CBT provides practical tools that empower you to take control of your mental wellness. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs, guiding you toward lasting change and emotional resilience.
Family Therapy
I provide family therapy for families with children who want to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and work through conflict in a healthy, supportive way. My goal is to help each family member feel heard, understood, and respected while learning healthier ways to express emotions, set boundaries, and rebuild trust. Whether your family is facing parenting challenges, blended family transitions, or ongoing tension at home, I offer a compassionate space for honest conversations, healing, and lasting growth.
Group Therapy
With over 5 years of experience facilitating group therapy in Intensive Outpatient (IOP) settings, I specialize in creating a supportive and structured environment where individuals can connect, heal, and grow together. My groups focus on key areas such as emotional regulation, communication skills, coping strategies, boundary setting, and relapse prevention. Whether working with adults, couples, or older clients, I guide group members through evidence-based practices like CBT and mindfulness, encouraging insight, accountability, and shared learning. Group therapy can be a powerful space for building community and gaining tools to manage life’s challenges with strength and resilience.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I incorporate Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, build on what’s already working, and create clear, achievable goals for change. Rather than focusing on problems from the past, this approach emphasizes the present and future—guiding individuals, couples, and families toward practical solutions that fit their lives. With a supportive and goal-oriented style, I help clients recognize their own resilience and uncover the small steps that lead to meaningful progress, confidence, and lasting growth.
Supportive
Through Supportive Therapy, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to face life’s challenges. This approach focuses on building emotional strength, reinforcing healthy coping mechanisms, and enhancing self-esteem through genuine connection and encouragement. Whether you're navigating stress, grief, relationship issues, or chronic mental health concerns, my goal is to help you feel supported and understood while working at your own pace. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and build a foundation for emotional stability and personal growth.
