Navigating life between 11 and 25 can feel overwhelming. I specialize in supporting adolescents, teens, and young adults as they juggle school, family, identity, and the pressure to always be “the strong one.” My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to explain your background to be understood, a space that honors your story, culture, and values. I show up with empathy, honesty, and cultural understanding. I’m not here to “fix” you but to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of what you’re carrying and creating room for reflection, healing, and growth. Whether you’re managing anxiety, family stress, identity questions, or just trying to feel like yourself again, I provide therapy that’s real, relevant, and safe.

Expect a space where you don’t have to code-switch, shrink yourself, or explain everything about your background just to be understood.

***Please note: Appointments after 3pm CST are reserved for clients ages 11–18 (middle or high school).

First session

We’ll take our time. No pressure to spill everything all at once. I’ll ask some questions to get to know you, but most of all, I’ll listen. We’ll start building a connection and talk about what brought you here, what you need, and how I can support you moving forward. If I Note: If you don’t see a time that works for your schedule, feel free to go ahead and book the closest option available, then message me directly through the portal. I occasionally have openings that aren’t shown on my calendar and may be able to accommodate your preferred time. ***Please note: Appointments after 3pm CST are reserved for clients ages 11–18.

Strengths

I’m down-to-earth, culturally aware, and genuinely care about your growth. I balance real talk with therapeutic tools, so sessions feel both validating and effective. Clients often say they feel safe, seen, and understood with me and that means everything.

Ideal clients

I work exclusively with teens and young adults (ages 13–25) navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, identity development, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges. I have a special passion for supporting Black and Brown youth and young adults, creating a space where they feel seen, understood, and supported without having to explain every part of their experience. Many of the clients I work with are trying to balance school, college, work, family expectations, friendships, dating, and figuring out who they are. They may struggle with overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, low confidence, boundary-setting, or difficulty expressing their needs. I help clients build confidence, strengthen emotional awareness, improve communication, develop healthy coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience. My approach is warm, direct, culturally responsive, and focused on helping clients create meaningful change in their everyday lives.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. In our sessions, we’ll work together to notice unhelpful patterns and practice healthier ways to cope, think, and respond to life’s challenges.

Relational

Our relationships shape how we see ourselves and others. In this approach, we explore how your past and present relationships impact your emotions, boundaries, and self-worth. Together, we work toward building healthier connections with others and with yourself.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I honor and respect your background, identity, and lived experiences. This means therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I create space for open conversations about culture, race, family, faith, and how these impact your mental health so you feel seen, heard, and supported as your full self.

Trauma Informed Care

I approach therapy with the understanding that past experiences can impact how you feel and function today. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where healing can happen at your pace without judgment or pressure.

Strength-Based

This method focuses on your unique strengths, talents, and values. Instead of just focusing on what’s “wrong,” we’ll highlight what’s already working and build on that to help you reach your goals.
