First session
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Strengths
I bring empathy, authenticity, patience, and genuine compassion to every therapy session. As a person-centered therapist, I believe each client is the expert on their own life, and my role is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to listen, not simply to respond, but to truly understand what a client is communicating. I strive to make clients feel heard, valued, respected, and accepted regardless of where they are in their journey. I also bring warmth and authenticity to my sessions. I believe clients can recognize when their therapist is genuinely invested in their well-being, and I work to build therapeutic relationships grounded in trust and respect. I meet clients where they are rather than placing expectations on where I believe they should be. Another strength I bring is the ability to help clients recognize their own strengths and potential. Rather than trying to "fix" clients or provide all the answers, I work collaboratively with them to explore their experiences, identify their needs, and develop meaningful goals. Most importantly, I bring a genuine desire to help people grow. I believe every client has a story, and I consider it a privilege to provide a space where they can share that story without fear of judgement. My goal is for clients to leave sessions feeling heard, empowered, and more connected to themselves and their ability to navigate life.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are individuals seeking support during difficult seasons of life and wanting to improve emotional well-being, coping skills, and overall functioning. I provide a compassionate, client-centered approach that combines evidenced-based strategies with personalized care. I pride my work with various populations on the instillation of hope, personal growth/development, life skills, and healthy coping techniques. I help adult clients between the ages of 18-65 years old utilize identifiable resources on becoming aware of self by helping them to resolve barriers to personal growth. Our overall goal will be to promote a sense of purpose to the lives that we desire to live.
Treatment methods
Person-centered (Rogerian)
As a therapist, I use this treatment method to provide a nonjudgmental environment conducive to honest self-exploration.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
A short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.
Strength-Based
As a therapist, I encourage clients to capitalize on their strengths rather than focus on negative characteristics.
Reality Therapy
The primary goal of reality therapy is to help clients find better ways to fulfill their needs. The counselor teaches the client how to evaluate their behavior, make plans for change, and set goals for themselves.
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy
As a therapist, I aim to help a person challenge unhelpful thoughts to avoid negative emotions or behaviors.
