In life, we sometimes question the nature of our experiences and how these experiences have shaped us into the person we are today. During these moments of questioning, feelings of doubt, confusion, and other emotions may build upon one another to create the sense of "not knowing" oneself.

I always tell individuals with whom I am connected, "what is important for you is important for me to know" and I will listen while still providing insights and understanding of how to change and grow for oneself.

It is in these times, we may feel as if we are alone in these experiences. The gift in therapy is to know that you are not alone in these experiences. The therapeutic relationship, through valuing, listening, and understanding, can provide appreciation for the questions that we sometimes ask of ourselves.

First session

During the first session, I will engage in a personal background exploration, reasons for seeking therapy, while also focusing on building rapport and connection with you. The most important aspect of therapy is experiencing a connection of support and care. I do everything within my power to foster a relationship while still adhering to the traditions of exploring how the mind and body are demonstrating interaction within your mental health experiences.

Strengths

I do everything within my power to make the therapeutic connection both "personable" and informative. I always tell individuals with whom I am connected, "what is important for you is important for me to know" and I will listen while still providing insights and understanding of how to change and grow for oneself.

Ideal clients

For me, the individuals with whom I work well are persons who are "ready for change" in order to improve and grow within themselves. I do everything to meet a person where they are in their journey of themselves. I will also ask you to make changes for growth and provide insights/scientific interventions in order to progress within yourself.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I was trained with Cognitive-Behavioral Theory, as my collegiate experience was heavily grounded in such practices. I have also incorporated Accepted and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Polyvagal Theory into my practice, as these theories also strengthen one another with the mind-body connection. The easiest way to explain my practices with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is what we will focus on changing how you "think and feel" with combined improvement with actions/behaviors for personal growth purposes.

Humanistic

I have also been trained in Humanistic/Person-Centered Theory to focus on a person's growth from a whole-mind-body performance perspective. We will discuss all aspects of "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs", along with any elements of existential thoughts/feelings toward meaning and understanding within oneself.

I was very happy with my initial session. Daniel explained things in a easy and thorough approach. I felt the genuine understanding when explaining my problem areas. Ultimately, I feel much more confident taking on a better conscience step in the right direction.

Daniel is very authentic and real. I did not feel like I was a problem to be handled but a person to be acknowledged. He met me where I am.
