I'm a licensed clinical social worker who has practiced for over fifteen years, working with diverse populations with various issues. I have always seen it as an honor and privilege that you have chosen me to be on this journey of self-discovery and self-mastery of whatever challenges you face. I believe you are not a "billing code" but an individual who dares to seek help to improve the quality of your life

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT within my practice of 15 years within a wide range of populations with mental health problems such as Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, trauma, and alcohol and substance use disorders. It has helped many of my clients challenge reoccurring negative thoughts from past experiences and self-esteem issues. I use CBT to help individuals to recognize how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence their day-to-day functioning. Then, I use their acquired new knowledge to help them change their thinking patterns, which can help whatever challenges they're dealing with through specific skills.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Clients are taught to construct solutions rather than dwell on worst scenarios and past events. It's about changing their concept of "all or nothing." Teaching Clients "You are the Expert in their own Lives!"

Strength-Based

I have used Strength-based therapy for the past fifteen years, a positive psychotherapy approach that focuses on a person's inherent strengths, resiliency, and positive qualities to improve their well-being and reduce problematic symptoms. I've seen clients beginning sessions with a sense of low self-esteem, hopelessness, and powerlessness change by the end of the session with a new outlook on their abilities and looking forward to the future.

Ms. Linda was exactly who I was hoping for. She's kind, genuine, understanding, non-judgemental, and she has a good sense of humor. In just the first session, I can sense her want to help people to live happier and healthier lives. She's a very good listener and very understanding with different situations people have been through. She's very encouraging and helped me to feel more empowered about my situation(s). Addiction, depression, trauma, she covers it all with patience and understanding.
