First session

Our first session is all about YOU as well as the second. We both will get to know other and we focus on what areas you want to work on. I a intake form is filled out prior to our first meeting and we discuss your future goals and why therapy and why now ?

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I want my clients to know that they can bring their authentic selves into the therapy room without fear of judgment or shame. I meet each person with empathy, compassion, and respect for their individual experiences. My sessions may incorporate grounding techniques, mindfulness, meditation, and other therapeutic approaches based on each client’s needs. I believe healing begins from the very first interaction, and I strive for clients to leave each session feeling heard, supported, lighter, and more hopeful. My AEDP-informed approach emphasizes emotional safety, connection, and helping clients recognize their own capacity for healing and growth.

The provider did not seem prepared or knowledgeable about the platform, making the session feel secondary. Once settled, questions were read from a paper and felt impersonal, with little effort to genuinely get to know me. I did not feel safe opening up during a vulnerable time. There was no eye contact, and the interaction felt transactional. The appointment was canceled because she forgot, rescheduled two hours later, and she was still late. My time and situation did not feel respected.
