Hi, I'm Amanda, a therapist committed to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with compassion and practical tools. With experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and sex therapy, I take a personalized approach to support your growth and healing. I believe in the power of the mind-body connection and work collaboratively with clients to foster resilience, build stronger relationships, and create lasting change. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and empowered on your journey toward well-being.
During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. I’ll listen closely to understand your concerns, goals, and any challenges you’re currently facing. We’ll also talk about how therapy works, the approaches I use, and how we can work together to achieve your goals. My focus is on creating a safe and supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing openly. By the end of our session, you’ll have a clearer sense of the direction we’ll take in therapy and how we can begin making progress together.
What sets my therapeutic approach apart is the combination of evidence-based techniques and a deep, holistic understanding of the mind-body connection. I draw from a variety of methods—such as CBT, EMDR, sex therapy, and mindfulness practices—to tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. I believe that healing happens when we address both the emotional and physical aspects of your experience. Clients often appreciate my warm, non-judgmental style and my focus on building practical, lasting strategies that lead to real change. My goal is not just to help you cope, but to empower you with tools that create deeper self-awareness, healthier relationships, and a renewed sense of well-being.
I’m best positioned to serve individuals and couples who are seeking to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, or heal from past trauma. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or past emotional wounds, I work with clients who are motivated to explore and address the root causes of their struggles. If you’re ready to make lasting change, improve your communication skills, or build a stronger connection with yourself and others, I’m here to support you on that journey with tailored, evidence-based approaches that honor your unique needs and goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that may be contributing to their distress. By working together, we explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected, and develop practical strategies to break unhealthy cycles. I focus on empowering clients with the tools to build healthier thinking habits, improve emotional regulation, and create lasting change in their daily lives.
Couples Counseling
In couples counseling, I create a safe and supportive space for partners to openly communicate, understand each other’s perspectives, and rebuild trust. I draw on a blend of therapeutic techniques to help couples navigate conflict, improve intimacy, and enhance emotional connection. Together, we explore patterns of behavior and communication that may be hindering the relationship, while working towards fostering mutual respect, empathy, and deeper connection.
Sex Therapy
In sex therapy, I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space where individuals and couples can explore their sexual health and intimacy concerns. I use evidence-based approaches to help clients address issues such as communication barriers, sexual anxiety, desire discrepancies, and intimacy challenges. My goal is to help clients cultivate a healthy, fulfilling sexual relationship with themselves and their partners, emphasizing open dialogue, self-awareness, and emotional connection to enhance overall well-being.
EMDR
In EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, I guide clients through a structured process that helps them reprocess traumatic memories and distressing experiences. By using bilateral stimulation, we work to reduce the emotional charge of these memories, allowing for healing and integration. I help clients gain a deeper understanding of their past, while fostering resilience and empowering them to move forward with a renewed sense of peace and self-empowerment.

If you are seeking help with complex trauma or pain management, this might not be the right fit. I noted my acute crisis beforehand, but was rescheduled twice. The session felt clinical, and my severe physical health limits were overlooked. When I asked for basic stress-relief tools with time left, I was told it was only an intake and the call ended early. I was hoping for empathetic support but left feeling unheard. I recommend looking for a trauma-informed provider.
