I’m a therapist who works with individuals experiencing serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), anxiety, depression, and substance use challenges. I believe people are more than their diagnoses, and my approach focuses on helping clients build insight, resilience, and practical skills to improve daily functioning and quality of life.

I’m a therapist who works with individuals experiencing serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), anxiety, depression, and substance use challenges.

My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of meaningful change.

First session

In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, and reviewing your current concerns, goals, and history at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll explain how therapy works, answer any questions you may have, and collaborate with you to begin identifying next steps. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and more hopeful about the path forward.

Strengths

What sets my therapeutic approach apart is a balance of compassion, structure, and practicality. I integrate evidence-based methods with a strengths-focused, collaborative style, helping clients feel supported while also building real-world skills they can use outside of sessions. My work emphasizes insight, emotional regulation, and sustainable coping strategies, particularly for individuals managing SPMI, anxiety, depression, and substance use concerns. Clients often report increased stability, improved self-understanding, and greater confidence in managing daily challenges and long-term goals.

Ideal clients

I am best positioned to support individuals experiencing serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), anxiety, depression, and substance use concerns. I work well with clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or discouraged by ongoing symptoms and are seeking consistent, compassionate support. Whether your goals include greater stability, symptom management, recovery, or improving daily functioning and relationships, I offer a grounded, nonjudgmental space focused on practical skills, insight, and meaningful progress.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I would use CBT because it is effective, empowering, and skills based. My goal is for clients to not only feel better, but to leave therapy with tools you can use long after our work together

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy is about helping clients become more aware of what's happening in the present moment-thoughts, emotions, and body sensations without judging them or trying to push them away. Mindfulness helps us gently bring attention back to what is happening now in the present moment so we can response more intentionally.

Strength-Based

Strengths-based therapy means we focus not only on what's been difficult, but also what's already been working for you. Instead of asking what's wrong with me? we shift toward "what has helped me survive and grow?"

Great first approach. I’m looking to working with her to bring the best of me and manage my anxiety. It was really easy to connect with her!
