Caroline Gregory
Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina with over 8 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I graduated with my undergrad from North Carolina State University and graduate degree from Liberty University. My areas of work include, but are not limited to, those experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, postpartum women, relationship issues, communication issues, bullying, low self-esteem, self-criticism, impulsivity, addiction, and substance use disorders.
From working a broad age range and background among clients I take pride in tailoring therapy sessions to what the client desires and needs to ensure client is given the tools to reach their desired outcome.
First session
In our first session we will start with brief introductions and then dive into what specific challenges you face and set expectations for therapy.
Strengths
From working a broad age range and background among clients I take pride in tailoring therapy sessions to what the client desires and needs to ensure client is given the tools to reach their desired outcome. I strive for the therapeutic space to be warm and inviting and a safe place for my clients to open up and feel understood. I've always loved hearing people's stories and helping them process any struggles they may be experiencing. I'm drawn to the notion of supporting others, encouraging them to embrace their strengths, and guiding them through life's inevitable changes. I create a safe and non-judgmental space for others to express themselves, explore their goals, and develop strategies to navigate life's challenges.
Ideal clients
I support motivated individuals of all ages and backgrounds who are ready for change but may not yet have the tools, structure, or space to process what they are experiencing. I enjoy helping clients build practical coping skills in a supportive environment by meeting the clients where they are and offering hope for their future. I strive to create an environment where my clients feel genuinely supported throughout our sessions.
Treatment methods
Christian Counseling
When desired, intergrating faith in conversation to promote improved mental health from a biblically-informed perspective in a non judgmental space. Exploring one's beliefs and discussing various topics within a biblical worldview as well is an option.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a fantastic tool to help clients gain control over their thoughts. Becoming aware of our thoughts and matching them with truths promotes a change in mindset that ultimately impacts our behavior.
Compassion Focused
I strive to offer a warm, encouraging, nonjudgmental space where clients can be themselves.
Integrative
My theoretical approach is integrative and dynamic, based on your individual needs and interests.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
By bringing attention to the present moment, clients have space to learn how to be more aware of oneself. In therapy and outside of therapy, we can work on different mindfulness activities if desired.
