Hello, I'm Liz! Thank you for taking time to read about me, and my therapy approach. I earned my Master Degree in Social work with an emphasis in Mental Health in 2018 and am credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Clients would best describe me as warm, kind, and reflective. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Treatment approaches that I find most beneficial are cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, attachment theory, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and family therapy modalities. I find using activities to help clients gain skills in mindfulness are beneficial. This can include creative projects that are thought provoking, sometimes artistic, and most importantly increase awareness of who you are before the world got its hands on you. I will tailor our time together and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs! It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take the step, let's get started in writing a healthy and new chapter in your life. I look forward to working with you!

First session

In our first session, my goal is for you to feel comfortable, understood, and supported. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been weighing on you, and what you would like to be different moving forward. We’ll also explore your strengths, your experiences, and the things that have helped you cope along the way. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, so we’ll work together to find an approach that feels right for you. I provide a space where you can be honest, feel validated, and begin developing practical skills to create meaningful change.

Strengths

I bring a compassionate, genuine, and collaborative approach to every session. One of my strengths is creating a space where clients feel safe being honest about their experiences without fear of judgment. I believe people are more than the challenges they are facing, and I work to help clients recognize their strengths, resilience, and capacity for change. My approach combines evidence-based strategies with a deeper understanding of each person’s unique story. I incorporate tools from approaches such as CBT, ACT, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care to help clients not only manage symptoms but also understand themselves on a deeper level. What makes my approach stand out is the balance between empathy and practical support. I don’t believe therapy is just about talking through problems—I want clients to leave sessions with insight, skills, and a greater sense of confidence in navigating life’s challenges.

Ideal clients

I work best with clients who are feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges and are ready to understand themselves on a deeper level. My ideal client may be navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, major life changes, stress, or feelings of being stuck and unsure how to move forward. I enjoy helping people who want more than just symptom management—they want to understand the “why” behind their experiences, build healthier coping strategies, strengthen their relationships, and create a life that feels meaningful and authentic. My role is to meet clients where they are, recognize the strengths they already have, and help them take the next steps toward healing and growth.
