First session

It takes courage to ask for help. Seeking support in therapy is the first step in making a positive change. In our first session, we will go over your needs, your background, and what you are looking for from therapy. Together, we establish treatment goals to guide our work together. Throughout every session, I work to help you develop and utilize coping mechanisms to make progress towards your goals.

Strengths

I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I believe in establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients to work together to achieve established goals in a safe and trusting environment. I believe in meeting you where you are and finding what will best serve you in our work together.

Ideal clients

I have worked with clients with various diagnoses and those seeking assistance in self-esteem, relationships, life transitions, parenting, and grief, among others. I have a passion for helping those that want to make positive changes in their life and reach their desired goals. I look forward to working with you!

I am so excited to find someone that listens and understands what I am trying to say. I have a hard time connecting with people and her warm smile coupled with her willingness to be direct but soft in her approach helped me feel safe and able to see a little light at the end of the tunnel.

My first session was a really positive experience. Mary listened with genuine care, validated how I was feeling, and helped me see things more clearly. I walked away feeling hopeful and reassured that i'm in the right place and that things can better.
