Lori Loncharek
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step - Lao Tzu." It's likely that you are here because you are wanting to take that first step in a new direction & would like someone to walk with you. I understand. I bring over 30 years of experience with people looking to make changes. I am compassionate, empathetic & I keep it real. Perhaps you want to be heard and/or seen without judgement. I create a space that holds no judgement. I want & encourage you to feel safe & empowered, to make this shift feel comfortable, complete & whole. I have worked in the area of mental health for 39 years, 7 of those years as a therapist. I hope to cultivate wellness, peace & balance, while also gently challenging clients to shift old thinking patterns. Ultimately, my focus is to help clients recognize they have the power to create the best version of themselves & I assist in recognizing positive attributes.
I look to myself as being a guide, using mindfulness, meditation & solution focused, strength based outcomes to help you in your process.

In our 1st session you can expect introductions & talking about what you want to change or improve. What's keeping you stuck & techniques that will help you attain your goals. We can discuss your goals & how that would look in a treatment plan.

I honor each individual and believe that each person matters. I look to myself as being a guide, using mindfulness, meditation & solution focused, strength based outcomes to help you in your process.
Ideal clients
I hope to help you cultivate wellness, peace and balance, while also gently challenging you to shift old thinking patterns. Ultimately, my focus is to help you recognize that you have the power to create the best version of you!
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I would begin by thoroughly assessing the client's situation and concerns, then guide them to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, practice behavioral activation techniques, and develop coping mechanisms to manage their symptoms; this often involves using tools like cognitive restructuring, exposure therapy, while actively engaging the client in the process to promote self-awareness and behavior change.
Adlerian
I use Adlerian theory to engage with the client, assess the clients situation, offer insight & reorientation to help the client develop new strategies that the client can use in daily life.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I emphasize the innate human capacity for growth and self-actualization. Focusing on an individual's subjective experiences, fostering a deep understanding of their personal reality. Our therapy would be characterized by a strong therapeutic relationship, where I provide unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness, allowing clients to explore their feelings and experiences without judgment.
