Hi my name is Carilyn Rego, but I go by Carrie. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Maryland and Florida who has been working in the mental health field for 17 years. I specialize in working with clients 18+ and those who identify as Neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+. I have my MSW from Monmouth University and have worked in a variety of different settings and in different states.
In our first session we'll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you are most hoping to get out of the experience. You'll also have a chance to ask me questions as well, to make sure you feel like we are a good match.
I have experience working with clients from all types of backgrounds and belief systems, and I pride myself in maintaining a judgment-free atmosphere. I have specific experience and training in working with LGBTQIA+ clients, including in supporting transgender individuals in their own unique journeys. Another area in which I have significant professional and personal experience is in working with survivors of suicide.
The primary focus of my practice is individual therapy working with adult clients. I have developed a specialty in my practice of working with clients who identify as LGBTQIA+, Transgender and/or as being Neurodiverse. I work best with clients who are looking to better understand themselves and seek to improve their interactions with the world. I provide telehealth visits M-F during regular business hours.
