I am a NC Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and NC Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist who is passionate about helping individuals and families experience meaningful, lasting growth. I provide a warm, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. My approach is compassionate yet direct, blending faith-based principles with evidence-based practices such as CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy. In addition I hold a license in SC as Telehealth Registered Professional Counselor Provider #2806. Clients often describe me as empathetic, grounded, trustworthy, and easy to talk to. I value authenticity, integrity, and creating a space where healing feels both safe and empowering.

My approach is compassionate yet direct, blending faith-based principles with evidence-based practices such as CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy.

First session

In your first session, you can expect a welcoming, relaxed environment where we focus on getting to know you and what brings you to counseling. We will review informed consent/intake together, so you fully understand confidentiality, your rights as a client, and how the counseling process works. I will answer any questions you have and make sure you feel comfortable moving forward. We’ll also begin discussing your goals, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no pressure to share everything at once—this is simply the start of building trust and creating a plan that supports your growth and healing.

Strengths

My greatest strengths are my ability to create a safe, grounded space while also helping clients move toward measurable change. Clients often share that they feel genuinely heard and understood, yet appropriately challenged in ways that promote growth. What stands out about my approach is the integration of faith-based principles with evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and other modalities. I help clients identify unhealthy thought patterns, develop practical coping tools, and take clear, actionable steps forward. I am compassionate but direct, supportive yet accountable. My goal is not just symptom relief, but lasting transformation—emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who feels stuck or overwhelmed by big life changes and is ready to slow things down long enough to understand what’s driving their emotions and choices. They’re typically motivated for real change (not just reassurance), open to exploring patterns from the past and how those patterns show up in relationships, work, and daily stress. Their goals are usually practical—learning coping tools, reducing anxiety or distress, improving communication/relationships, building confidence, and creating a clearer direction for the future.

Treatment methods

Faith based therapy

I integrate Faith-Based Therapy by grounding clinical practice in biblical principles while honoring each client’s spiritual journey and readiness. My approach blends Scripture and spiritual reflection with Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I help clients identify practical, forward-focused goals while also examining and restructuring unhelpful thought patterns through both clinical tools and biblical truth.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize a Person-Centered (Rogerian) approach by creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel deeply heard, understood, and accepted. Rooted in empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard, this method allows clients to explore their thoughts and emotions freely while building self-awareness and confidence. In my practice, I focus on reflective listening and authentic connection, trusting that when clients feel safe and valued, they naturally move toward growth and healing. This approach supports individuals in discovering their own insight, strengthening self-worth, and making meaningful, self-directed changes.
