I believe you are the expert in your life experiences and we will work together to develop goals and strengths to improve your overall quality of life.
Our sessions will be centered around a holistic approach that aligns with your personal strengths, needs, abilities and preferences to meet your goals and build self worth, while navigating difficult emotions, relationships, anxiety, trauma and decreasing depressive symptoms
First session
I look forward to meeting with you. I always start with an introductory session where you have the opportunity to share what you hope to achieve in therapy. We can work together to establish goals and discuss outcomes in a non-judgmental environment. Your choice should reflect your hopes and not your fears
Strengths
I believe that prioritizing mental health is crucial to improving your quality of life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts of this journey, so CONGRATULATIONS on taking this first step.
Ideal clients
As a Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor in The State of Ohio (LISW-S), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (LCSW) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in The State of Ohio (LICDC), my practice is devoted to women who are struggling with depression, domestic violence, anxiety and/or substance use disorders. During our initial session, we will explore your concerns and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you feel more in control.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice, which is a structured and evidenced based approach to therapy that can improve your mental health by challenging unhelpful thoughts and core beliefs to develop effective coping skills. Remember this is your journey, I am here to support you
Motivational Interviewing
In our first session, we will begin to process what brought you to therapy and your readiness to make the necessary changes to wellness.
