Samantha Schaefer
Hello and welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience working with adults in a variety of settings. My passion is helping others to navigate challenges and live life to the fullest. Whether you are struggling with a life transition, substance use, pregnancy and postpartum, grief and loss, anxiety or depression; I am here to support you harnessing your strengths and processing your experiences.
First session
During the first session, we will discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. We will collaborate setting expectations and goals for our work together and begin to establish a therapeutic relationship.
Strengths
I provide a delicate balance of holding space, honoring your experiences, and challenging you to break patterns keeping you stuck.
Ideal clients
I work with adults over the age of 18 who may be struggling with life transitions, pregnancy and postpartum, infertility, trauma, substance use, relationship conflict, anxiety, or depression, as well as a variety of other challenges. Whether you are ready to jump into change and healing or just testing the waters, I am happy to guide your self-exploration and witness transformation.

When you come to session, I meet you where you are in your process without judgement.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize CBT to assist clients in breaking ineffective cycles by bringing awareness to the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

EMDR is a powerful tool for reducing emotional distress and healing from traumatic experiences.
