Belinda Johnson
Welcome! I’m Belinda Johnson, a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist dedicated to helping you navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space to explore anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
A friendly, supportive therapist with experience helping people navigate difficult times through encouragement, clinically sound interventions, and a relatable, down-to-earth approach.
I also specialize in supporting cancer survivors and individuals navigating serious medical diagnoses. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward greater healing, resilience, and emotional well-being. Your journey matters, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
First session
In our initial session, we'll take time to get to know one another, explore what brings you to therapy, and discuss your goals for treatment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and supportive, creating a space where you can feel comfortable sharing your experiences without fear of judgment. While I bring a naturally easygoing and approachable style to our work together, I also recognize that healing can involve difficult conversations. We will move at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for you, honoring your unique needs, experiences, and readiness for change. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we begin your journey toward healing and growth.
Strengths
I am a compassionate, results-oriented therapist supporting individuals navigating chronic conditions, depression, work burnout, anxiety, and relationship stress. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change. I also provide guidance with FMLA and short-term disability (STD) request processes. Together, we’ll work toward healing, balance, and improved emotional well-being.

Treatment methods
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Belinda utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, tolerate distress, improve interpersonal relationships, and develop mindfulness skills. She supports clients in identifying emotional triggers, managing intense feelings, and responding to challenging situations more effectively. Through practical skill-building and collaborative interventions, clients learn to balance acceptance and change while developing healthier coping strategies and greater emotional stability.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Belinda incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She works collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop more balanced perspectives. Through structured interventions, problem-solving, and practical coping strategies, clients build skills to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress while improving daily functioning and overall well-being.
Narrative
Belinda uses narrative therapy to help clients explore the stories they tell themselves about their lives, relationships, identities, and experiences. She supports clients in separating themselves from their challenges, identifying strengths, and reframing experiences that may contribute to feelings of shame, hopelessness, or self-doubt. Through a collaborative and strengths-based approach, clients are encouraged to recognize their resilience, develop empowering personal narratives, and move toward meaningful change aligned with their values and goals.
