Chelsea Winder
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of field experience. I specialize in clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues but have worked with clients with numerous mental health and life struggles including parenting issues, bipolar, self-harm, grief/loss, and much more. I know starting therapy can feel scary and overwhelming so I strive to provide a warm, welcoming therapeutic environment. A strong relationship is the most important thing to me during the therapeutic process. Once that is established then we can focus on the work that needs to be done.
First session
Our first session will focus on getting to know each other. It gives a unique opportunity for me to ask questions to evaluate where your strengths and stressors are and it allows you to get a sense of me and my personality to ensure we are a good fit.
Strengths
I feel my biggest strength is building a positive therapeutic relationship with clients. The relationship is so important to the therapeutic process and the only way the clients can feel safe to explore what’s going on. I mostly work with clients with depression and anxiety, as well as trauma but I have worked with clients with many mental health struggles. I meet clients where they are at.
Ideal clients
I like working with clients who are in all different stages of their mental health journey. I find it exciting to be on the start of the self-discovery and exploring how to improve your well-being as you learn more about yourself. However, I find it equally enjoyable working with clients who have estiblished relationships with mental health and wellness and just need some hep with fine tuning.
