Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida. I obtained my Masters Degree from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY in 1998. I enjoy assisting others in redesigning their lives. My focus is on individual and couples counseling.

In my years of practice I have developed a keen sense of what needs highlighting from what needs editing in a situation or relationship.

Helping to bring positive changes to my client's lives is something I am motivated by, thankful for and excited to witness.

First session

In our first session, after introductions, I ask for a brief history of what has led you to seek help. Getting to know how you think, feel and see the world, is an important piece of knowing what will best work to support the desired change in your life. I then formulate a plan with you that addresses your concerns and creates opportunities for you to put identified skills into practice to create change.

Strengths

In my years of practice I have developed a keen sense of what needs highlighting from what needs editing in a situation or relationship. I listen carefully and utilize the gift of insight to craft discerning questions for my clients to consider. The data gleaned from our insightful conversations are then utilized to creatively design a new way of seeing and doing things in order to achieve one's desired goals.

Ideal clients

I love working with clients that are ready for a change in their life. It is so fulfilling to work with someone that wants to redesign their life. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a client develop a new passion for living. Additionally, I enjoy working with couples in need of healing and fresh perspective in their relationships.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Overall, I utilize a variety of techniques but find that CBT is used quite often in my work. I cater the experience with CBT based on whether one is suffering from anxiety, partnership dissatisfaction or depression. Learning to recognize how your thoughts are influencing your feelings and behaviors is crucial to being able to manage and direct the way you want your life to go. Your thoughts are like a non-stop film in which you decide where each clip stops to focus on. Taking control of. your thought life is similar to a director deciding which scenes to cut and which need re-takes or further development.

Traci has been very kind and understanding in our sessions while still holding each person accountable. She spends the extra time sending us worksheets and information so that we can get the most out of each session with her. She is direct and solution-oriented.
