I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri and a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina who specializes in supporting trauma survivors and individuals who are in life transitions to navigate emotional healing, identity transitions, and relationships. In my work, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy to help you connect with your inner self, challenge negative self-talk, and reframe thoughts that keep you questioning yourself. I offer a warm, safe, and collaborative space where you are seen and heard.

First session

Our first session is all about you. We will discuss what brings you to counseling, your family history and strengths, your natural supports, and what you expect from your counseling sessions. We will work together to develop goals unique to your counseling experience. I will explain the treatment modalities and how they will enhance your counseling experience. I will also explain that I will assign tasks to complete in between sessions.

Strengths

I have experience working with people with anxiety and depression. I will engage in reflective listening and I will challenge negative thoughs and teach you how to reframe them. These are your sessions. I believe you have the answers, I will help you explore and discover them.

Ideal clients

Have you ever wondered "Who am I?" or "How did I get here?" We all have encountered transitions in life where we are forced to navigate change. Those changes may be divorce, leaving home for the first time, an empty nest, or the loss of a spouse. Learning to transition into the new life can be challenging. We will address the emotions and begin to heal those past spaces and make room for the new.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavior Therapy to challenge negative thoughts, worrying about the future, and identifying thought patterns to judge to see if they are fact or fiction.

Christian Counseling

I use Christian Counseling for those who are in spiritual crisis or who want a faith-based approach to counseling.
