Hi, I'm Orly Krupkin, LCSW. Starting therapy is a significant step, and I’m glad you’re here. I work with adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, caregiving challenges, midlife concerns, and relationship issues, including establishing healthy boundaries and creating more fulfilling connections. I have experience working with diverse populations in community, private setting, hospital settings, supporting individuals and families facing a wide range of medical and emotional challenges. I also have specialized experience working with hospice clients and their loved ones, which has deepened my understanding of grief, loss, and the importance of compassionate support during life’s most vulnerable moments. In our work together, I focus on helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing and identifying patterns that may be contributing to feeling stuck. My approach is collaborative and grounded in respect for your pace and readiness for change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and discuss what brings you to therapy, the challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. There is no pressure to share everything at once, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often share that they feel at ease speaking with me early in the therapeutic process. Many describe feeling understood without needing to over explain themselves, which can make it easier to talk about difficult or painful experiences. I aim to meet clients where they are and support them in approaching challenges with openness and self compassion, while also encouraging growth and insight over time.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, grief, and life transitions. Many of my clients are navigating periods of uncertainty related to career changes, relationship challenges, caregiving responsibilities, retirement, or questions about purpose and direction. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Grief is a deeply personal experience, and I provide a compassionate space where you can process your emotions, honor your loss, and adjust to life in a way that feels meaningful and authentic. I work best with clients who are open to self exploration, motivated to grow, and willing to actively engage in the therapeutic process. Growth takes time, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It helps identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop more balanced, effective ways of responding to stress and emotional challenges.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness involves developing present-moment awareness without judgment. It supports greater emotional regulation, reduces reactivity, and helps you respond to experiences with more intention and clarity.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

A person-centered approach emphasizes your unique experiences, strengths, and values. Therapy is guided by your goals and needs, with an emphasis on empathy, collaboration, and creating a supportive space for growth and self-exploration.

Grief Therapy

Focuses on supporting individuals as they process and adapt to loss. It involves exploring emotional responses to grief, helping clients adjust to life changes, and supporting the integration of loss while maintaining a continuing and meaningful connection to what has been lost.

Very welcoming and warm. I felt like I had known her for years and felt as if I could very easily open up which is something I personally struggle with so this is saying alot. Had a wonderful first visit!

Orly was kind, supportive, and understanding. She's easy to talk to... like talking to an old friend. I look forward to working with her.

My first time back in therapy in 8 years. She really lets you talk and doesn’t make you feel overwhelmed with all the changes you may need to overcome. She feels very comfortable to talk to and non judgmental. I look forward to working with her and becoming a better version of myself.
