Rachel McCullough
Hi, I’m Rachel! I’m a therapist who is here to help you take control of your own life, with empathetic and straightforward guidance. You have the answer inside you; sometimes it just takes someone helping move away the clutter.
While I subscribe to some methods, I truly believe that each person is an individual and that different individuals may benefit from different theories...but mostly we are just having a conversation!
We will work together to uncover old patterns and beliefs that have been holding you back from being your true self.
First session
We will have a relaxed, open discussion in which we talk a little about what brings you in...your family, your friends, your relationships, your goals..all the things that make you, you! If we both feel it's a good match and I'm able to serve you, we go from there. A therapeutic relationship is important for a good outcome, so always make the decision best for you!
Strengths
I want to meet each person where they are, not where I want them to be. While I subscribe to some methods, I truly believe that each person is an individual and that different individuals may benefit from different theories...but mostly we are just having a conversation!
Ideal clients
Client who are going through a transition in which they need guidance, or are ready to explore how their past informs their present. Folks who are ready and willing to acknowledge the craziness of the world they live in AND take accountability for their responses. LGBTQ+ folks, women, and minorities who are just tired and ready for guidance catered to their unique and intersectional identities. Anyone going through a rupture in a who relationship needs to figure out for themselves whether to stay or go.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Sometimes our emotions and thoughts get so tangled up that it all feels too overwhelming to even start. In my practice I use CBT, as well as other methods, to lay everything out on the table so we can untangle what we need and get to the healing!
