Jasmine Groves
Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters from Sam Houston State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been practicing for 10 years. My style of therapy focuses on realistic principles and understanding to one’s environment and circumstances, unconditional positive regard, and achieving goals. I can help you develop and learn coping strategies to propel you forward into your best self. I believe that understanding what to do with our trauma is the key to end needless suffering in order to improve your quality of life.

First session
The first initial session will be pretty standard. A psychosocial assessment will be completed to get an overall view of the client's mental health, social well-being, and ability to function in their community. This will also help to identify the client's strengths, weaknesses, and barriers to well-being which will be used to develop therapy goals.
Strengths
Non judgmental, empathetic, and unconditional positive regard for my clients.
Ideal clients
My dream client would be those individuals that are open to change and becoming the best version of themselves. These individuals can be teens, young adults, and middle age clients who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, and often experience burnout.
Treatment methods
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy
This style of therapy focuses on cognitive restructuring, identifying, disputing, and replacing irrational thoughts.
